Sometimes, you might get bored with the clock style on your phone and you want something different. You can try installing anime style clock applications.
Generally, this app will have an anime girl iterating the current time in Japanese, and you can trigger different reaction from the girl by touching the screen. I believe most of apps also have the alarm clock functionality.
Live 2D is a technique that can animate full dimensional 2D characters from manga, anime, and illustrations without undergoing a 3D transfiguration. An example of such is in this iPhone/Android app called Shizuku Talk.
One unique feature of this app is that you could interact with the character by touching the screen and she will face unto the direction of your fingertips.
Good things also is that the content on this app is updated daily with a voice acting.
I think this is a good app if you want to know some slangs used in Japanese conversation, though It is not really that easy to understand for beginner in Japanese.
You can download the app for free from Google Play or iTunes
Some other applications of Live2D are Anime clock Apps, although not as complex as Shizuku Talk.
I have recently upgrade my Sony Xperia Arc S to Android ICS and been facing a problem with downloading from Google Play when using mobile network. It pops up 500 download error message.
After a couple of attempts to search on google and forums, finally I have found a solution.
Just remove the proxy address from your APN settings and reconnect your data traffic and it works for me. To change the APN settings, go to Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names and choose your currenly used access point. You can empty/remove your proxy address there. If this doesnt work you can also try to remove and readd the access point.
A couple of other solutions I found on the net which doesn’t work for me :
– clear the cache and/or data of google play application (can be done through settings > apps> google play store)
– reformat SD card (haven’t tried yet)
– connect to wireless network first before reconnect to mobile network
– change content filtering (http://talk.sonymobile.com/message/185982)
